CAT owner Pete Senior thinks his cat Daisy has winning qualities after nominating her in the Felix Factor competition.

The national contest is seeking to find a feline as loveable and entertaining as Felix the famous black and white cat.

Pete, from Congleton, entered Daisy because of her endless mischievous antics that occur when nobody else is at home.

He said: "Daisy is one of a kind, and she is always causing mischief when we're not home.

"Every time I leave the house I return to find that she's been having fun with whatever paper-based item she can get her paws on.

"Kitchen rolls and toilet rolls seem to be her favourite.

"I hope the judges will think she has the Felix Factor too, and I have my fingers crossed that we will win."

The Felix Factor is part of National Mischief Month running throughout April, and designed to inject a little light-hearted fun into our lives.

There's still time for you to enter the competition, which closes on April 30.

If you think your cat has the Felix Factor log on to www.catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief, or post your entry to Felix Factor, Clarion Communications, The Griffin Building, 83 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5AR.

The winner will receive a holiday, a camcorder and a year's supply of Felix cat food as well as the title of the UK's Most Loveably Mischievous Cat.

Eleven runners up will receive a month's supply of Felix cat food and a framed picture of their cat.

That cat sounds amazing. I wish I was allowed to have pets but after the trouble with my pet snake it'll never happen.

What a great local story. I've never heard of such behaviour from a cat before and nearly fell off my cheap office chair through laughing.

I too hope Pete wins the holiday. He sounds like he needs a break from all this frivolity.

I know this man, he's on a register for offences against cats, he blames them for tissue being strewn everywhere but anyone who knows him knows what he's really been up to !!!!

I'm outraged, this so called animal lover leaves his cat on it's own whilst he gads off to do whatever he likes. I'm sure there are cruelty laws in this country that prevent such behaviour.

This man should be publicly named and shamed and put on a register.

I personally shall be writing to my MP to highlight the plight of poor Daisy and hope that action shall be taken soon before it's too late for this poor creature.

My cat was entered in this competition too.

She too has a penchant for toilet rolls. She used to do a great impression of the andrex puppy at one point. Now she's progressed from bringing us gifts of leaves home to birds. Shame really because I was happier with the leaves.
