THE CREATOR of Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine appears at the Alsager university campus for a special reading this month.
Willy Russell is one of the most successful playwrights of his generation, and his work has been performed across the world and has won countless awards.
His first novel, The Wrong Boy, has been translated into 15 languages and is being adapted for a major television series.
Russell appears at the Axis Theatre at the Alsager campus at 7.30pm on Thursday November 29.
The evening is being organised by the MMU Cheshire Creative Writing department, and following the reading there will be time for questions and discussion.
Tickets are £3, which are available from the finance office at the Alsager and Crewe campuses.
