Hospital recruitment day

A RECRUITMENT day at Macclesfield Hospital will showcase the wide range of jobs in healthcare, from clinical to administrative and other support roles.

The open day, on Friday, May 9, will advertise live vacancies at the hospital, and staff from a wide range of departments will be on hand to offer advice about different types of work.

Anyone who wishes to apply on the day can take advantage of assistance with online applications.

Anyone interested in working as a nursing auxiliary can even be interviewed for a job on the day.

The event is being organised by East Cheshire Hospital NHS Trust, which runs Macclesfield Hospital.

Gill Mayer, Human Resources Assistant at the Trust, said: "We will be delighted to welcome anyone who is thinking about a job in the NHS.

"We held a similar open day for Nursing Auxiliaries in February, which helped lots of people find new jobs.

"The assistance with online applications is really helpful for people with limited IT skills.

"We cannot predict all the vacancies that will be available on the day, but may include staff nurses, therapists, administrative work, health care assistants and nursing auxiliaries.

"Anyone who wants to be interviewed for a nursing auxiliary post will need to bring along a form of photo identification.

"The Trust operates an Improving Working Lives programme, which means we offer an excellent working environment and are dedicated to supporting and encouraging the personal development of all our staff, for example through NVQ training."

Visitors can drop in to the open day at any time between 10am and 3pm on Friday, May 9.

It will take place in the Lecture Theatre at the hospital's Education and Training Centre in Victoria Road, Macclesfield.
