FUN for all the family is promised at an African Afternoon supporting a refugee project.
Rema Ministries was founded in 1994 by Francois Nitunga, a pastor and evangelist.
He leads a team of Burundians who fled from the conflict in the country in 1994, and Rema cares for and educates Burundian refugees, returnees and disadvantaged people.
Its role includes HIV/AIDS education, and it is to build a clinic and operate a mobile clinic to help care for people unable to afford treatment in Burundi's hospitals.
The clinic will also care for refugees returning to Burundi in need of medical help.
The African Afternoon is organised by Sue Stanmore from Congleton, a member of the local Wellspring Methodist Church.
It takes place on Sunday June 22 from 3pm to 5pm at Beauty at Mossley, Morley Drive, Hightown.
The afternoon includes games, plants and cakes stalls, African produce, competitions, food and refreshments.
Tickets are £5 for adults, with free admission for children under 12.
You can buy tickets from Beauty at Mossley, and for more details ring 01260-271441.
