CONGLETON Town have relaunched their promotion push with their third win on the trot.
The Bears lost their first four games last month, including two in the league, denting their hopes of going up.
However they revived their chances with victories over Flixton and Winsford United.
They ended November with a third win, beating Formby 3-2 away on Saturday.
The victory over fifth from bottom Formby, who have won four times in 16 games, sees the Bears in fourth spot.
They are behind New Mills on goal difference, and two points behind Newcastle Town in second.
Leaders Fylde are seven points clear of Congleton, with a game in hand.
The Bears were hoping to go second with victory on Tuesday at Booth Street against Atherton LR.
However the game was called off because of the icy conditions.
Their next chance to close the gap at the top comes tomorrow, Saturday, with the visit to Booth Street of 15th-placed Nelson, who have conceded 37 goals in 17 games.
Congleton were pegged back against Formby on Saturday after going two up, but rocked the home side by scoring a third goal shortly after Formby had levelled the match.
Graham Molloy started Saturday’s match in place of the injured Darren Twigg, and put the Bears ahead after only nine minutes.
A ball was played down the left, and fell to Molloy following a mistake by a Formby defender.
From the edge of the area he curled a shot around the keeper into the net.
Molloy doubled his total and extended Congleton’s lead eight minutes before half-time.
The Formby defence failed to clear a Congleton corner.
The ball was headed forward, dropped behind the keeper and was guided into the net by Molloy.
Formby reduced the deficit four minutes before the break.
A player hit a shot from just outside the area, and it came off the arm of keeper Hackney and bounced up into the net.
Formby equalised eight minutes into the second half with a half-volley from 25 yards.
“It was a screamer, and the lad hit it very well,” said Congleton press officer Ken Mead.
“Visibility was not that good because of the fog, which made it difficult judging distance.”
The Bears roared back two minutes after the equaliser to regain the lead.
A corner was headed home from eight yards by Wayne Brotherton.
Congleton lost James Marrow after 20 minutes with an ankle injury.
