Quitting smoking hard for Campbell

Naomi Campbell has revealed that quitting cigarettes was harder than she imagined.

The British supermodel, who also gave up drinking seven years ago, admitted that putting a stop on her smoking habit has been harder than giving up alcohol.

"People told me that cigarettes are harder to quit than alcohol. I didn't believe it, but you know what? It is harder," she told US magazine Shape.

The 43-year-old model has used nicotine patches to help get rid of her addiction.

She added: "I don't want to light up inside people's homes, including my own, and I don't want to stand outside on street corners any more. It's still a struggle. In fact, just talking about it makes me crave one, so let's stop, please! But I am really trying."

Naomi - who became one of the elite group of models in the 90s, which also included the likes of Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista - graced the front cover of the magazine's April issue, showing off her figure in a revealing swimsuit with embellished gold zippers.
