Sean Penn played the dutiful boyfriend as he hit the red carpet with partner Charlize Theron at the world premiere of her new movie, A Million Ways To Die In The West.
The Milk star posed for pictures with his statuesque girlfriend as she promoted the comedy, about a cowardly farmer who must summon his courage to win over a mysterious woman who arrives in town.
The movie comes from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and also stars Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson and Sarah Silverman.
Sean was not the only celebrity boyfriend in attendance at the glittering premiere - Masters Of Sex actor Michael Sheen dressed up for the occasion to support his partner Sarah.
Speaking on the red carpet before the screening, Avatar star Giovanni Ribisi said it was hard to keep a straight face with so many funny people on set.
"There were times that were really hard and that was the majority of work I would do when pacing back and forth in the hotel room, saying the words over and over again so I didn't laugh. That was my acting preparation," he said.
Speaking about Seth, who proved to be a controversial Oscars host in 2013, Giovanni added: "For anything Seth does, he has an original style and one thing I like he pushes the envelope and pushes people's buttons in the best way.
"We are in this age of ultra-conservative film making and music and he steps out of that box."
A Million Ways To Die In The West will be released in the UK on May 30.
