Hudson says no to eating disorders

Kate Hudson has revealed she would like to be a positive role model for young women.

The Almost Famous actress, who previously sued publications for claiming she "had an eating disorder", told Red magazine she has a healthy body image.

"If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder. I won't have girls - even if it is just one or two who care - thinking that. Because it's a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite," she said.

"And I want to be giving girls the message that, sometimes you do gain 70 pounds having a baby. The whole point is I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are...

"The thing is, I'm lucky because I was loved. But I have seen so many young women who can't feel good about themselves because they just don't have... that love," the 35-year-old actress added.

Kate - who graced the front cover of the magazine's October issue - also said she is in no rush to marry her fiance, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

"I'm not in a rush. We are basically married. It's really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding."

The mother-of-two admitted she never expected to date a musician again, after she broke up with ex-husband Chris Robinson. The frontman of rock group The Black Crowes is also father to her elder son, Ryder.

"After Chris I didn't think I'd ever date a musician again. That world is difficult. But it is what it is, right? I like people with musicality. I find it attractive," she said.
