Stockholm City Council has named a street and a square in the city's Ostermalm district after Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman.
Vice mayor Mikael Soderlund says he inaugurated a small crossroad near the Royal Dramatic Theatre as Ingmar Bergman's Plats.
Part of Smalandsgatan was also named Ingmar Bergman's street in the ceremony.
Mr Soderlund says Bergman used to stand there in late evenings waiting for a taxi after his work at the theatre. Ostermalm is also the area of Stockholm where young Bergman grew up.
The film director died in July last year, aged 89.
With his combination of deep seriousness, indelible imagery and unexpected flashes of humour, he's known as one of the greatest artists in cinema history.
