Documentary looks at 007's creation
The story of the three men who helped bring James Bond to the cinema screen will be told in a documentary.
Filmmaker Stevan Riley, who made the award-winning Fire In Babylon about the 1970s West Indies cricket team, will make Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007.
It will tell the story of novelist Ian Fleming, who created the secret agent character, and film producers Albert R Broccoli and Harry Saltzman.
The film is part of a series of celebrations that will see October 5 declared Global James Bond Day - 50 years after the world premiere of Dr No in London - including a charity auction at Christie's in London and a film retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers behind the new Bond film, Skyfall, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be celebrating James Bond's golden anniversary on film with this special day of events for Bond fans around the world."
The new film, starring Daniel Craig as 007, is being directed by Sam Mendes with Ben Whishaw playing gadget expert Q.
Skyfall will be released in the UK on October 26.
