England will face destructive batsman Ross Taylor in both their forthcoming Twenty20 and one-day international series against New Zealand.
Former Kiwi captain Taylor returns as expected to the squads after apparently re-establishing a working relationship with Black Caps coach Mike Hesson.
Taylor, 28, missed New Zealand's tour of South Africa after losing the captaincy in controversial circumstances during a previous trip to Sri Lanka but he will return under the leadership of Brendon McCullum for back-to-back series of three T20s and three ODIs, starting next week.
Taylor, currently beginning his comeback in a Plunket Shield match for Central Districts, is also scheduled to be up against England in two Twenty20 warm-up fixtures in Whangarei.
He is joined in the limited-overs squads by all-rounder Andrew Ellis, set to lead a New Zealand XI against England on Monday and Wednesday at the Cobham Oval.
Also in the Kiwis' Twenty20 squad, for the first time, is Hamish Rutherford - son of former New Zealand Test batsman Ken.
The 23-year-old opener is the only uncapped player to be selected in squads which are still missing front-line seamer Tim Southee while he continues his recovery from a thumb injury.
New Zealand's national selection general manager Kim Littlejohn said: "There are a couple of changes that have been forced through injury, but essentially we want to be seen to provide continuity from one series to the next."
