James heads home

LeBron James has announced he is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers from the Miami Heat.

The 29-year-old ended a seven-year spell with the Cavaliers to join Miami in 2010 and won back-to-back NBA titles with them.

But, in a first-person piece on the Sports Illustrated website, Ohio-born James said he was coming back to his home-town team.

He said: "When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission. I was seeking championships and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling.

"Our city hasn't had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what's most important for me is bringing one trophy back to north-east Ohio."

He added at the end of his essay: " I'm ready to accept the challenge. I'm coming home."
